We are seeking a committed, knowledgeable, and passionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our supportive secondary school in Braintree. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the outcomes and wellbeing of students with special educational needs and disabilities.

• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of SEND provision
• Coordinating and reviewing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Supporting and advising colleagues on inclusive teaching strategies
• Monitoring the progress and wellbeing of students with SEND
• Liaising effectively with parents/carers and external professionals

• Be a qualified teacher with QTS
• Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be willing to complete it within the required timeframe)
• Have experience supporting students with SEND in a secondary school setting
• Demonstrate strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
