Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical fault-finding skills looking for your next challenge within a specialist manufacturing environment?
I’m recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering business based in Braintree, Essex. This role will suit an electrically biased, multi-skilled engineer who enjoys fault finding, improving equipment reliability and supporting a busy production facility.
The role will involve:- Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across control panels, PLCs, inverter drives, motors and sensors
- Supporting mechanical maintenance activities including bearings, belts, gearboxes and pneumatics
- Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime
- Fault finding on automation systems including Siemens and Fanuc controls
- Completing maintenance records and supporting continuous improvement projects
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills and a recognised electrical qualification
- Knowledge of 3-phase systems, motors, drives and control systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Basic mechanical maintenance experience
- Hours:
Monday to Friday rotating shifts: - Early shift:
Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 14:00, Friday 06:00 - 13:00 - Late shift:
Monday to Thursday 14:00 - 22:00, Friday 13:00 - 20:00
