Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the onlyacute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.

We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.

The post holder will be responsible for day-to-day upkeep of the cleanliness as set out in the cleaning schedule. These areas may include ward areas, clinical areas, and hospital corridors, also associated areas across the Braintree Community Hospital site. The post may require assisting with the patients meal and beverage service.

The post is part of a team, working within an integrated Hotel Services department, offering a high quality, flexible and customer focused service.

To participate fully in the review and development of services to improve both quality and efficiency.

Wards/Departments are maintained free of dust, dirt and moisture through the process of daily and periodic cleaning.

Transfer of infection is prevented by the additional process of effective termination cleaning of patient bed areas.

Wards/departments are maintained free from excessive refuse and kept tidy and presentable at all times .

Ensure duties identified on the ward/department cleaning schedule are completed.

Comply with C.O.S.H.H regulations.

Ensure compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety legislation and the correct use of personal protective equipment.
