Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We're recruiting for an experienced Electrical Workshop Supervisor to join an established electrical manufacturing business in Braintree.

This is an opportunity for someone with a strong electrical assembly or panel-building background who enjoys leading people, organising production and driving high standards across a busy workshop.

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of an electrical assembly workshop, ensuring production targets are met without compromising on safety, quality or workmanship.

What you’ll be doing
  • Supervising and supporting a team of electrical assemblers and panel wirers.

  • Ensuring work meets technical drawings, specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitoring production output, identifying bottlenecks and resolving issues.
  • Supporting staff development, training and continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining high standards of workshop safety, organisation and efficiency.
What we’re looking for
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within electrical assembly, panel building or a similar technical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of electrical panel wiring, switch gear and low-voltage distribution systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.

  • Experience organising production schedules, allocating workloads and managing people.
  • Confident communicator who can lead from the front and make decisions.
