Payroll Manager

Location: Braintree, MA
Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000

CFS has partnered with a growing construction company in seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee and enhance payroll operations for their company in Braintree, MA. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to senior leadership and offers the opportunity to take ownership of payroll processes, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvements in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state workforce.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Oversee employee deductions, garnishments, tax with holdings, and payroll record maintenance.
• Review and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Partner with HR and Accounting teams on employee changes, reporting, and audits.
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and support month-end activities.
• Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiencies.

• 5+ years of payroll experience, including high-volume payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with Paychex, ADP, or similar payroll systems preferred.
• CPP certification is a plus.
