Accounts Receivable Accountant

The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for billing, payment processing, collections, and account reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate revenue collection. This role partners with internal teams, insurance providers, government agencies, and clients to support efficient accounts receivable operations.

• Manage billing, payment posting, collections, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit invoices to insurers, government agencies, and other payers.
• Monitor outstanding balances and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Reconcile AR sub-ledgers to the general ledger and prepare aging reports.
• Support reimbursement processes, including Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance billing.
• Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and audit support.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
• Identify process improvements and perform other accounting duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounts receivable or accounting experience.
• Healthcare, nonprofit, or human services experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes preferred.
• Strong accounting, reconciliation, Excel, and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• ERP/accounting systems (Sage Intacct, Net Suite, Blackbaud, or similar)

Compensation: $28-33/hr

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
