The Civi Group has partnered with one of the leading General Contractor in Boston on their search for an Estimator with experience in multiple sector to work on their medium to large-scale Construction Projects in the south of downtown Boston.

As the Estimator, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with estimating construction projects, including quantity take-offs, cost management, communication, and budgeting. The role will involve performing field take-offs, communicating with construction teams and subcontractors, preparing RFPs, and analyzing bids.

Commercial, Life Science

• Salary: Up to approximately $120K based on experience

• Work collaboratively with project team members.
• Interpret plans, identify construction materials to bid, and double-check estimates.
• Perform and/or manage the project scoping, clarifying, and pricing effort.
• Maintain project lists and vendor database.
• Print plans and specifications to develop estimate database.
• Obtain subcontractor and vendor quotes.
• Perform quantity take-offs.
• Assist with schedules and estimates as needed.
• Write/create proposal documents as needed.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Minimum of three years of estimating experience.
• Candidate must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and provide a professional level of communication.
• Possess strong mathematical and computer skills (proficient with Microsoft Office Programs).
• Ability to work constructively in a fast pasted, team environment.
