Tax Senior Manager

Job Overview

Withum is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join its Tax Services Group. The role will be based in one of our offices in Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Virginia and provides an opportunity to build a strong team and progress toward partnership.

• Prepare and review complex C‑corp., S‑corp., and partnership income tax returns.
• Plan and advise clients on federal and state compliance issues.
• Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely client delivery.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Provide constructive feedback to team members and lead staff development.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert and lead training iterations.
• Seek and develop new client business.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA license, JD, or Masters of Science in Taxation required.
• 8+ years experience in tax within a public accounting firm, leading engagements and supervising staff.
• Strong analytical, technical, and client‑service skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, training, and mentoring experience.
• Ability to manage competing projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Base salary varies by location:

• Maryland – $175,000 – $200,000
• Massachusetts – $150,000 – $200,000
• New Jersey – $130,000 – $235,000
• New York – $150,000 – $225,000
• Pennsylvania – $125,000 – $200,000
• Rhode Island – $175,000 – $200,000

Base compensation is supplemented with a competitive benefits package and eligible bonus program, based on individual and firm performance.
