Granite Academy
6 Columbian Street
Braintree, MA , USA

Are you the School Clinician we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth!

Granite Academy is a dynamic day school for middle and high school‑aged students who have emotional and psychiatric issues that complicate schooling, social interactions, and family life. Our staff provide flexible, individualized programming and are dedicated to meeting the needs of our students, their families, and the public school systems.

We have an 11‑month school year (202 days) and are located on a beautiful campus in Braintree, MA. Our team works with students individually and in small groups to support their full engagement in academic, vocational, social, and recreational activities that promote skill development, emotional well‑being, and movement towards graduation.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills with students and staff, knowledge of adolescents with psychiatric, educational and other social emotional needs, demonstrated ability managing student dysregulation, success working within a small, multi‑disciplined team and the ability to collaborate effectively with outside agencies and parents.

We seek a creative team player with strong grounding and interests in individual and group therapeutic modalities, classroom management, and a commitment to academic success as a therapeutic goal. This is a hands‑on position working directly with students and supporting classrooms, with the primary goals being the fostering of academic success and preparation for independent living.

The position involves use of a trauma‑informed, individualized approach within a structured school therapeutic milieu. An appreciation for working with a diverse and challenging population and a commitment to high expectations is essential. We value and reward commitment, self‑directed learning, and dedication to improving the skills of our very deserving students.
