Join Target as an On-Demand Guest Advocate (Cashier) in General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2693). The starting hourly rate is $18.50, with a range of $18.50–$27.75 per hour.

ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND

As an On-Demand TM, you choose shifts posted by leaders via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable attendance is required. Pick up at least one shift every 4 weeks and respond to contact attempts; otherwise, employment may be terminated. Attend a Target Welcome orientation and complete structured training before picking up shifts.

Typical Responsibilities

• Deliver a service culture that prioritizes guest experience.
• Greet guests and create a welcoming experience.
• Engage with guests to help solve their needs.
• Know tools, products, and services to improve guest experience.
• Thank guests and share joy of shopping.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and safely.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Communicate current brand launches and store activities.
• Advise on Target Loyalty programs and enrollment.
• Explain Wallet and App features.
• Process returns and register prompts.
• Partner with leaders to de-escalate and recover guest experience.
• Serve Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area.
• Stock supplies during store open hours.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Support Cash Office processes as needed.
• Perform other duties based on business needs.

Requirements

• Enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and team members.
• Thrive in a fast-moving, physically demanding role that requires teamwork, flexibility, and creativity.
• Open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Communicate effectively using positive language and attentive to guest needs.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Work independently and with a team.
• Accurately handle cash register operations and support cash office operations.
• Lift up to 10 lb frequently and up to 44 lb occasionally.
• Pick up shifts flexibly, respond to contact attempts, and work at least one shift within 5 months.
• Work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other conditions.
