The Treasury Management Inside Sales Officer is tasked with outbound calling to existing customers and prospects for the purpose of growing and retaining deposits; servicing clients to retain revenue; cross‑selling additional services such as Treasury Management and identifying additional credit needs. The incumbent will be part of a team that will include Treasury Management Officer and Relationship Manager.
Responsibilities- Conduct outbound calls and emails daily to engage with decision makers and key stakeholders in assigned companies
- Appropriately handle objections and improve banking experience
- Prospect and identify potential business clients for commercial deposit, Treasury and credit services
- Develop a deep understanding of clients’ financial needs and pain points to tailor solutions effectively, in particular, Treasury Management, deposit and credit needs
- Mentor and be a resource for other TM Inside Sales officers, in particular, for credit inquiries
- Utilize upselling tactics that ensure a great customer experience
- Articulate compelling value propositions to clients
- Collaborate with Treasury Management Officers and Relationship Managers to present comprehensive offerings to clients
- Utilize Salesforce tool to track and report on sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress
- Meet and/or exceed established calling targets, portfolio growth and retention, and cross‑sell
- Manage a portfolio in excess of 400‑500 clients to cross‑sell Treasury Management and Credit products
- Manage a portfolio of prospects to continually outreach to source new business
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field highly preferred
- Retail or Call Center experience highly preferred
- Proven inside sales and/or problem‑solving experience, preferably in the financial services or banking industry
- Experience with handling objections and negotiation
- Proven tenure of working with commercial lending customers
- Strong understanding of commercial deposit products and treasury management services
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending products/offerings
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and internal teams
- Goal‑oriented mindset with a record of accomplishment of meeting and/or exceeding targets
- Familiarity with Salesforce or CRM tools
- Ability to manage through a changing business landscape, anticipating issues and aggressively driving initiatives to ensure results
