As an Entry‑Level Carpenter with MKE Development Corp. / Distinctive Pergolas, you’ll support the delivery of high‑performance, energy‑efficient homes, thoughtful additions, and custom aluminum motorized louvered‑roof pergolas. You’ll gain exposure to both traditional residential construction across the South Shore and high‑end outdoor‑living installations throughout New England.

This is an opportunity to develop your skillset while contributing to premium projects that shape the way clients live, gather, and experience their spaces. You’ll collaborate closely with seasoned carpenters, engineers, installers, subcontractors, architects, and landscape architects within a family‑owned organization recognized for craftsmanship, integrity, and long‑term client relationships.

• 0–3 years of carpentry or construction experience (school, trade program, or hands‑on work all welcome)
• Eagerness to learn, positive attitude, and willingness to take direction
• Baseline knowledge of tools, measurements, and job‑site etiquette
• Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Valid driver’s license and consistent transportation
• U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization
• Ability to work year‑round in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials on a regular basis
• Capability to work on ladders, lifts, staging, and roof surfaces when required
• Comfort working both indoors and outdoors, in open sites and occupied homes
• Flexibility to operate in fast‑paced residential job sites on the South Shore and travel across New England for pergola installations
