Accounts Receivable Clerk
Location:
Brampton, ON
Wage: $25.00 - $27.00 / hr
Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk to support their finance team. This role focuses on managing customer invoices, monitoring payments, and ensuring account balances are accurate. The ideal candidate will maintain positive client relationships and resolve payment issues efficiently. This position is for a current vacancy.
Key Responsibilities
Track and monitor customer accounts, ensuring timely payments.
Conduct collections activities and follow up on overdue invoices.
Reconcile customer accounts and address any discrepancies.
Prepare and review aging reports to identify outstanding balances.
Keep accurate records of all financial transactions and communications.
Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing inquiries.
Support additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred (in progress or completed).
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.
Proficient with accounting software and ERP systems.
Understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with aging reports, account reconciliations, and collections processes.
Exposure to month-end closings and AR adjustments is an advantage.
