Here’s What You’ll Deliver
  • Oversee and coordinate the reconditioning of vehicles to meet the highest standards for customer delivery.
  • Dispatch work to technicians, detailers, and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are properly distributed and completed prior to the promised time.
  • Perform quality checks on finished vehicles to ensure cleanliness and overall presentation meet impeccable standards.
  • Create internal work orders.
  • Adhere to established service core processes, including the following:
  • Dispatch tasks to technicians through CDK, ensuring assignments match skill levels.
  • Provide estimates for repairs and maintenance (including parts costs) and record quote amounts in the memo field of the repair order.
  • Monitor work in progress throughout the day, coordinating with Service Advisors to ensure repairs are finished before the promised time.
  • Collaborate with Service Advisors to ensure accurate data entry into CDK (e.g., promise dates, waiter vs. non-waiter status, and comeback details).
  • Implement and maintain a system to track progress on all repair orders.
  • Review and close repair orders daily to maintain accurate records.
  • Notify the appropriate department when special-order parts arrive.
  • Ensure work begins immediately (or the same day) for vehicles awaiting special orders or back-ordered parts.
  • Close out all work orders that can be completed before month end; provide explanations for any remaining open repair orders to the service management team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, vehicle technologies, and dealership products.
  • Attend and contribute to Service Department and dealership meetings.
  • Assists the Service Manager as necessary.
  • Completes safety checks for used vehicles within the dealership.
  • Ability to work in adherence to company safety standards at all times.
  • Comply with all company policies, standards and procedures.
  • Other duties as required by management.
What You Need To Succeed
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of automotive experience.
  • 2 years of experience in service departments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of vehicle operations and repairs.
  • CDK Dealer or related DMS software experience is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical repairs and terminology.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Office and GSuite.
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Proven data entry and typing skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule.
  • May be required to work on Saturday as per business needs.
  • Able to comfortably lift & carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
