Full-time | Permanent. We are hiring a Senior Construction Estimator for a growing General Contractor delivering hospitality, residential, commercial, and institutional projects. This is a senior pre-construction role with ownership of bids, pricing strategy, and risk management across multiple delivery models.

Responsibilities

Lead detailed cost estimates for hard-bid, lump sum, CM, and design-build projects.

Review drawings, specs, addenda, and contract requirements (Arch/Struct/MEP).

Perform and oversee quantity take-offs and scope reviews.

Manage full bid lifecycle: RFQs, tendering, trade buyout, and closings.

Evaluate subcontractor pricing and negotiate final scopes.

Identify risks, gaps, exclusions, and pricing assumptions.

Support value engineering and alternative pricing strategies.

Present estimates and proposals to clients and internal leadership.

Maintain estimating logs, pricing databases, and bid documentation.

Track market pricing, labor rates, and construction trends.

Mentor junior estimators and improve estimating processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

5+ years with a General Contractor in construction estimating.

Experience leading bids in the $10M-$50M+ range.

Strong understanding of construction sequencing and productivity.

Expertise in trade procurement, bid closing, and contract review.

Strong Excel skills; experience with estimating software (e.g., Plan Swift).

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Valid Ontario driver's license.
