Plumbing Plans Examiner

Join the City of Brampton as a Plumbing Plans Examiner. This full-time role focuses on detailed construction plan reviews to ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code standards.

In this full-time position, you will report to the Supervisor of Plans & Permits. Your responsibilities will include reviewing residential, commercial, and industrial plans, with a focus on plumbing compliance. Engage with architects, engineers, and stakeholders while providing assessments and recommendations for projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed reviews of construction plans for compliance

• Liaise with design professionals on plan assessments

• Respond to inquiries regarding technical information

• Recommend corrections for non-compliant plans

• Maintain permit tracking and prepare technical reports

Requirements:

• High school diploma plus over two years of relevant education

• 4-8 years of experience in a related role

• Completion of required provincial qualification examinations

• Building Code Identification Number registration

• Preferred Plumbing Certificate of Qualification
