As an HSE Coordinator, you will collaborate with project teams to champion health and safety standards in the mining sector. You must have experience adhering to the BC Mine Act and working closely with Indigenous communities. This position is pivotal in fostering a safe workplace culture through proactive safety measures and by conducting inspections and incidents investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise daily with Project Manager to promote a safe culture
• Enforce HSE Management System compliance for all staff
• Provide essential safety training as required
• Conduct investigations on incidents and near misses
• Maintain safety documentation and records
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years mining or heavy civil construction experience
• Certified Health and Safety professional (CHSC, CRST)
• Proficient with MS applications for data management
• Strong analytical skills for incident analysis
• Valid Occupational First Aid and WHMIS certifications
