Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Bilingual Collections Specialist (French/English) to join our client's Accounts Receivable and Collections team.
This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional with experience in collections, accounts receivable, and high-volume customer interactions. As a key member of the Credit & Collections department, you will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound customer communications, resolving account inquiries, negotiating payment arrangements, and helping customers maintain positive payment profiles.

- Pay Rate: $31.00 - $33.00/hr (based on experience)
- Location: Brampton, ON
- Shift: Monday to Friday | 9:00am - 5:00m
- Job type: Temporary | Full-time

- Provide exceptional customer service while handling collections and account inquiries
- Manage inbound calls and emails related to outstanding balances, payments, and account concerns
- Conduct outbound calls to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve delinquent accounts
- Process customer payments and provide supporting documentation as required
- Investigate and resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies
- Educate customers on payment options, account management practices, and self-service tools
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions and collection activities
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer concerns and expedite solutions
- Review accounts and release orders in accordance with company policies and guidelines
- Meet individual and team collection targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and share recommendations with management
- Support additional collection and administrative activities as required
- Post-secondary diploma, degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in:
- Accounts Receivable
- Collections
- High-volume customer service or sales environments
- Previous experience working in a call center or high-volume inbound/outbound call environment
- Experience managing customer accounts and payment negotiations
- Fully bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities
- Proven ability to de-escalate challenging customer situations professionally
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to overall team success
- Positive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Proven punctuality, reliability, and attendance record
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience using collection systems, CRM platforms, or call-center technology is considered an asset
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
