Summary
Girls Linking Our Worlds (GLOW) is an 8‑week daytime school‑based group program for elementary aged girls that focuses on empowerment, leadership development, and well‑being.

Program DetailsThe GLOW program is facilitated by a team of female mentors who play a crucial role in supporting the program’s mission to empower young girls. Mentors guide participants through discussions, creative and physical activities, and group exercises that promote leadership, self‑awareness, and healthy living. Mentors encourage inclusive participation and respect, a safe and supportive environment for open communication, and build positive, trusting relationships with participants.
Resources and curriculum material are provided.
Program is one hour per week for an 8‑week term, with 3 program terms during the school year (fall, winter, spring). Mentors will gain valuable experience working with children and youth and will make a positive difference in their lives. They will also build skills in program facilitation, leadership, education, collaboration, and communication.
Volunteer Requirements- Comfortable commuting to the opportunity location
- Willing to undergo a background or police records check
- 18 years or older
