Brock University seeks a Teaching Assistant for its LING 2P51 Applied Phonetics course. Engage students through seminars, lab demonstrations, and personalized support as you contribute to their learning experience.
In this Teaching Assistant role, you will be responsible for delivering scheduled seminars, grading assignments, and administering exams. Your involvement in course administration and student consultations is essential for their success. Strong organizational skills and effective communication are vital to maintaining accurate course records and data management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct seminars and lab demonstrations effectively
• Prepare materials and facilitate student consultations
• Mark assignments and proctor examinations
• Help with course administration and attend lectures
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required
Requirements:
• Completed four-year BA or entering fourth year with 85% average
• Completed LING 2P51 with an 85% or higher
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Excel for record-keeping
• Adhering to collective agreement rules in work hours
