Youth Dance Instructor at YMCA

Join the YMCA of Greater Toronto as a part-time Youth Dance Instructor in Brampton, ON. Lead children in dance programming while fostering their growth and appreciation for the arts.

This Instructor position involves developing and implementing tailored dance lessons for youth, addressing diverse learning styles. You will maintain a safe and welcoming environment, coach participants, and report on their progress to parents and supervisors. Your active participation in YMCA programs aligns with our mission of community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement dance curricula aligned with industry standards

• Create and modify lesson plans based on participant needs

• Ensure safe setup and maintenance of equipment

• Communicate regularly with parents on child progress

• Support community programs and special events

Requirements:

• Degree in Fine Arts (Dance) or equivalent training

• At least 1 year of instructing experience with youth

• Up-to-date certifications in First Aid & CPR

• Excellent relationship-building skills

• Open to flexible working hours, including evenings
