Instructor for Traditional Arts in N’dilo

This role, reporting to the YKDFN Government Chiefs and Council, focuses on the implementation of Traditional Arts Programs. You will support curriculum planning while utilizing diverse teaching methods like demonstrations and video instruction. Collaboration with knowledge holders and local partners is essential for creating a well-rounded educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach courses in various traditional arts disciplines

• Assist in planning and curriculum development

• Employ diverse teaching methods for student engagement

• Recruit Elders and knowledge holders as guest instructors

• Organize experiential learning and career exploration activities

Requirements:

• 5 years experience in traditional arts instruction

• 2 years experience with youth in educational settings

• Strong connection to northern First Nations communities

• Background in culturally relevant programming

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners
