Empower students at Hyland Heights Elementary School as a full-time Educational Assistant with the Upper Grand District School Board. Offer support for diverse needs while collaborating with teachers and families.

This temporary position is based in Shelburne, Ontario, requiring 32.5 hours per week across the school year. Candidates should possess an Educational Assistant diploma and a valid Behaviour Management Systems certification.

Experience with special needs and behavioural disabilities is highly valued, as is training in Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with varied behavioural and medical needs

• Assist with lifting, toileting, and transferring students

• Collaborate closely with teachers and school administration

• Implement Behaviour Management Systems techniques

• Perform various assigned duties as required

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant diploma or equivalent experience

• Valid Behaviour Management Systems certification

• Preferred experience supporting special needs students
