Become a key player as a Water/Wastewater Construction Inspector with Peel Region. This full-time role focuses on ensuring compliance and quality across treatment facilities and stations.
The Region of Peel seeks a detail-oriented specialist for construction inspection focusing on water and wastewater facilities. You will monitor project developments, ensure adherence to standards, and assist with documentation and reporting in alignment with Engineering Technical Services. The position also offers mentorship opportunities for junior staff and students, enhancing community support through your expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review engineering drawings and specifications for projects
• Serve as liaison among project stakeholders and partners
• Provide insights during internal and site meetings
• Monitor contractor QA/QC processes for compliance
• Track project deliverables and maintain accurate site records
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering preferred
• 5–10 years of experience in inspection and contract administration
• Strong knowledge of construction practices for treatment facilities
• Valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver’s Licence
• Satisfactory Level 1 Criminal Record Check
