Harris is looking for a Senior Design Safety Specialist in Hamilton, Ontario. Drive system safety initiatives in defense tech and support critical mission objectives for national security.

As a senior member of the Supportability Team, you’ll work on various Safety Engineering tasks, ensuring that products are safe and reliable. You will collaborate with design teams and promote a culture of safety across projects. Your technical skills and ability to mentor others will play a key role in fostering safety excellence within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead System Safety initiatives across projects

• Decompose and analyze safety-related requirements

• Participate in bidding activities for system safety analysis

• Support the design change process with safety assessments

• Conduct Failure Modes and Criticality Analysis

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6+ years of experience

• Knowledge of safety standards like DO-254

• Experience with Integrated Systems Design preferred

• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail

• Must be eligible for Canadian government security clearance
