In this role with L3

Harris WESCAM, you will specialize in mechanical tooling design integral to the functionality of optical sensor systems. Using your skills in CAD and manufacturing processes, you will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality assembly and testing of new tools. Your efforts will directly impact the success of mission-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design tooling for product build and testing

• Work closely with assembly teams for troubleshooting

• Create and update 3D models in CAD programs

• Mentor students in tool design practices

• Provide Design For Manufacturability input

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of experience

• Strong knowledge of Solid Works and FEA

• Understanding of mechanical design standards

• Experience in machining and prototyping techniques

• Effective communication and mentoring abilities
