Join Ontario Centre's team as a Senior Data Engineer, specializing in legacy data migration to Microsoft Fabric. This role emphasizes hands-on delivery of medallion architecture to drive business value.
Your expertise will be pivotal in leading data warehouse migrations and implementing modern cloud infrastructures. You'll assess the fit of Microsoft Fabric, defining target architectures and developing migration roadmaps. Collaborating closely with customer teams, you will execute essential data engineering tasks to deliver impactful Proof of Value / MVP outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee migration of legacy data warehouses to Microsoft Fabric
• Conduct assessments for migration fit and performance standards
• Define architecture and operating models for cloud solutions
• Create migration roadmaps for data orchestration tasks
• Collaborate with customer teams to achieve MVP objectives
Requirements:
• Hands-on experience with legacy data platform migrations
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and its capabilities
• Direct engagement with stakeholders for architectural roadmaps
• Familiarity with data governance and security frameworks
• Experience with Sybaseto cloud data migration
