Shape the future of AI with Lightmatter as a Photonics Hardware Validation Engineer. Engage in testing and validating state-of-the-art Optical Interconnect products.
In this pivotal role, you will design, build, and validate photonic test systems. As a key member of a tight-knit team, you’ll collaborate with device, hardware, and software engineers to support end-to-end development. Your expertise in standard bench test equipment and electro-optic testing will be essential in driving the performance of our next-generation silicon photonics products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Understand chip specifications for effective testing
• Develop and configure test plans and bench setups
• Conduct electro-optic and link-level testing in lab
• Troubleshoot and validate setups for chip bring-up
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project success
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
• Hands-on experience with standard test equipment
• Familiarity with PCB design and debugging
• Basic scripting skills for lab test automation
• Solid understanding of electrical and optical circuits
