Director of Finance

About the Company

Our client is a global manufacturer. They are looking for a Director of Finance to join their growing team.

• Prepare, analyze, and present internal and external financial statements, reports, and forecasts.

• Manage and oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.
• Manage month/quarter/year end close process.

• Coordinate and manage the annual budget, forecast cash flow, monitor financial performance, and report variances to senior management.
• Perform detailed variance analysis and support strategic decision making.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, cost structures, and investment decisions.
• Collaborate with operational and R&D teams across multiple locations to inform and support financial planning initiatives.

• Lead ad-hoc financial and operational analyses to support strategic initiatives.
• Analyze operational KPIs, cost drivers, productivity, and margin performance.
• Support pricing, profitability, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Evaluate capital expenditures (Cap Ex) and ROI analyses.
• Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses for business risks and opportunities.

• Coordinate with external auditors, implement internal controls, and ensure the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
• Work with the executive team to provide financial data and insights to guide business decisions.

• Train and mentor accounting staff, including accounting managers, to ensure a high-performing department.

• Completed CPA designation.
• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance & accounting and FP&A.
• Minimum 3 years leadership and coaching experience.
• Experience with in Manufacturing sector.
• Experience with US GAAP and JDE is an asset.

$160,000 - $180,000/year

Must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada.
