Overview
Corporate Controller — SME | Reports to Director of Finance
Responsibilities
Oversaw all accounting operations for US and Canadian entities, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and revenue recognition.
Led monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; prepared consolidated financial statements and variance analysis.
Managed annual budgets and quarterly forecasts; partnered with business leaders to set financial targets and monitor performance.
Maintained internal controls, IFRS compliance, and accounting policies; managed internal and external audits.
Supported US and Canadian tax filings, banking relationships, and cash flow management.
Implemented process improvements and explored new tools/software to drive efficiency.
Collaborated with Revenue Cycle team to minimize revenue leakage and bad debts.
Delivered ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.
Qualifications
3–5 years progressive accounting/finance experience (healthcare or tech a plus).
Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, internal controls, and ERP systems (MS Dynamics an asset).
Skilled in analysis, communication, and multitasking.
