Join Rocky View County as a Senior Planner and impact regional planning strategy. Lead complex projects while collaborating with various stakeholders and guiding junior planning staff to ensure successful outcomes.

This senior planning role requires comprehensive knowledge in urban, rural, and regional planning, along with excellent negotiation and presentation skills. You will manage assessments of planning applications, facilitate community consultations, and maintain collaborative relationships to promote municipal objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and manage planning applications and subdivision files

• Support the development of long-range planning strategies

• Representative at public presentations, council meetings, and stakeholder engagements

• Mentor and guide Planning staff in various projects

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in planning with RPP candidacy eligibility

• At least five years of relevant planning experience

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills

• History of successful projects within complex environments

• Ability to navigate political landscapes in planning context
