Join the City of Brampton as a Full-Time Enforcement Officer. You will enforce by-laws, conduct investigations, and engage with the community for a safe environment.
In this role within the Legislative Services division, you will ensure compliance with municipal by-laws and participate in proactive community engagement initiatives. The position requires collaboration with fellow officers, conducting evidence gathering, and possibly testifying in court. A key aspect is providing guidance to new hires and community outreach through educational programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enforce municipal and planning by-laws with investigative techniques
• Conduct proactive enforcement and respond to community complaints
• Gather evidence and testify during legal proceedings
• Mentor new employees and oversee training
• Participate in enforcement initiatives and community engagements
Requirements:
• High school diploma with 1-2 years by-law enforcement experience
• Valid non-probationary class G licence
• Knowledge of Municipal Act and related legislation
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
