Patient Care Lab Technician Position

Life Labs is seeking a Lab Patient Technician in Brampton, ON, dedicated to improving patient care through specimen collection. This part-time role emphasizes direct patient interaction and technical skills.

In your role as a Lab Patient Technician with Life Labs, your responsibilities will encompass the entire specimen collection process, from greeting and assisting patients to preparing samples for transportation. This position plays a vital part in delivering trustworthy laboratory testing and results for Canadians, supporting both patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with patients and explain necessary procedures

• Carry out phlebotomy and ECG recordings as required

• Execute special test collection and documentation

• Build client relationships and address inquiries promptly

• Input patient data accurately into systems

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited Laboratory Assistant program preferred

• Phlebotomy experience and ECG skills are assets

• Strong communication and computer abilities essential

• Demonstrated patient service and empathy skills

• Ability to uphold patient confidentiality strictly
