Join our team as a Personal Care Assistant for an 18-year-old gentleman in Brampton. This part-time role (10-16 hours per week) emphasizes patience, compassion, and active engagement.
We seek a dependable Personal Assistant to support a young adult with autism and a learning disability. Your responsibilities will include personal care and meal assistance while providing emotional support. Utilizing Makaton and a calm communication approach will help him navigate daily challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with personal care and daily routines
• Support mealtime with sensitivity to food intolerances
• Administer medication in a responsible manner
• Facilitate trips to activities like trampoline parks
• Explore his interests in trains and ambulances
Requirements:
• Full driving license and confident in driving
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor
• Willing to be actively involved in activities
• Previous experience with special needs is a plus
• Full training will be provided
