At Extendicare, we are seeking a Resident Programs Aide to enhance the quality of life for our long-term care residents. This casual, part-time position involves program development and evaluation, ensuring that all physical, cognitive, and emotional needs are met. You will work closely with residents, providing both group and individual support while maintaining detailed program records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and assess programs catering to residents' needs
• Assist with transporting residents to and from activities
• Conduct in-service education and participate in care conferences
• Maintain accurate records using Activity Pro and PCC
• Adhere to safety and quality improvement policies
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Therapeutic Recreation or related field
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Experience in program planning for diverse abilities
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
