Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled QA Engineer who will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform. This role merges strong manual testing skills with modern, AI-driven QA practices. You will be the quality champion who designs thorough test strategies and leverages AI/ML to improve everything we do, from test generation to defect prediction.

What You’ll Do:

Key Responsibilities
Core Manual Testing:  Write, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases, scenarios, and acceptance criteria across Web, Mobile, and API surfaces. Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and exploratory testing to uncover edge‑case issues that scripted approaches miss.

AI & Next‑Gen QA:  Actively innovate by leveraging AI/ML tools for test case optimization, test data creation, and intelligent defect clustering. Apply AI-based visual testing and anomaly detection, and use Natural Language Processing (NLP) models for requirement analysis and acceptance‑criteria generation.

Collaboration & Process Excellence:  Work closely with Developers and Product Managers in Agile ceremonies to define clear and effective testing strategies. Manage test environments, synthetic test data, and drive defect resolution using tools like JIRA. Strong verbal English communication is essential for navigating defect triages and stakeholder discussions.

What You’ll Need:

Core Qualifications
You must have 2–3 years of professional QA experience with a strong background in manual testing, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Practical hands‑on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) is essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and an understanding of how QA fits into modern development workflows are required.

Strong verbal English communication is essential for this role.  You will be speaking daily with developers, product managers, and stakeholders in stand‑ups, design reviews, and defect triage sessions. You should be comfortable explaining test results, edge cases, and quality risks clearly and confidently in spoken English.

Preferred Skills (Bonus Points!)

Experience with AI‑powered QA platforms.

Familiarity with performance testing approaches.

Knowledge of tools for QA innovation.

Understanding of static code analysis and security tools (Sonar Qube, Snyk, Stack Hawk, etc.).

Relevant QA certifications.

Compensation
Salary Range:  CA $70,000 – CA $85,000, depending on experience and technical depth.
