Product Tester

Job Overview  We’re hiring immediately for a Product Tester in our fast‑paced Geek Squad City environment. The role involves assessing, validating, and processing electronic devices, ensuring they are correctly dispositioned, and helping restore them to a saleable state when required.
Shift Requirements  7:30AM – 4:00PM, 6‑month contract.
What You’ll Do   Product Testing & Disposition:  Test electronic products to determine if each unit is defective or fully operational. Disposition units electronically and physically to the appropriate next step. Remove stored customer information and restore devices to saleable condition when required. Support additional technical service tasks as needed.
Technical Support & Workflow Assistance:  Assist with cell phone testing and repair processes across major brands, perform testing and wiping of used games and related media, and maintain compliance with privacy regulations including PIPEDA.
Material Handling & Operational Duties:  Safely perform material handling tasks up to 50lb. Support operational projects and additional responsibilities. Ensure accurate documentation and system updates using tools such as SMARTS, Windows Control software, and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications   Minimum 6 months’ experience in a service center or similar technical environment.
Experience testing electronics; cell phone testing/repair experience is an asset.
Strong knowledge of privacy compliance (PIPEDA).

Experience with testing/wiping used games.
Technical knowledge in electronics testing, refurbishment, and repair.
Ability to work well under pressure with strong attention to detail.
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently.
Education  Grade
12 or equivalent. A Consumer Electronics Diploma or Computer Studies (with electronics focus) is preferred.

Compensation & Location  Base pay range: $18.00 – $18.68 per hour (may vary by province). Pay listed is for the location advertised. 9200 Airport Road, Brampton, ON L6S 6G6.
