Hybrid 3 days in Georgetown for first 6 months, moving to 4 days onsite in Mississauga in 2027.

We are seeking a Power BI Developer to join a growing enterprise analytics team. This business‑facing role partners with stakeholders to design, deliver, and maintain high‑impact dashboards and reporting solutions. The role serves as a bridge between business teams and the analytics platform, ensuring that business questions are translated into scalable, performant, and easy‑to‑use Power BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, KPIs, and reporting needs
- Design and deliver Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights
- Build and maintain high‑quality semantic models (datasets) optimized for performance and reuse
- Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations to support complex reporting needs
- Apply dimensional modeling best practices (star schema / Kimball)
- Perform performance optimization (model tuning, query reduction, visual efficiency)
- Work with Data Engineering teams to consume data from Microsoft Fabric / Lakehouse environments
- Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reports and datasets
- Troubleshoot production issues such as refresh failures, data discrepancies, and performance issues
- Support business users with self‑service analytics and Power BI best practices
- Document report logic, business rules, and data definitions
- 5+ years of hands‑on Power BI development experience in an enterprise environment
- Strong expertise in:
- Advanced DAX development
- Power Query (M)
- Semantic model (dataset) design
- Strong understanding of data modeling (star schema / dimensional modeling)
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis
- Experience working in business‑facing BI roles with stakeholder interaction
- Excellent communication skills (technical + non‑technical audiences)
- Power BI (Desktop & Service)
- Microsoft Fabric:
- Lakehouse (data consumption)
- SQL endpoints
- Dataflows / Data Factory
- Azure analytics ecosystem
- Power BI Service (work spaces, security, capacity management)
- Experience with:
- Tabular Editor / DAX Studio (performance optimization)
- Power BI governance, security (RLS/CLS), and lifecycle management
- Dev Ops / Git Hub for deployment
- SAP data and business processes
- Multilingual reporting (metadata/data translation)
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate requirements into insights
- Passion for building intuitive, high‑quality dashboards
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and domains
- Experience supporting self‑service analytics environments
- A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
The pay range for this position is $ – $ per year. This is a hybrid position based in Georgetown, ON.
