Position: Technical Lead, Supply Chain Systems (Manhattan)
As a Technical Lead (Manhattan Active), you are responsible for the design, configuration, integration, testing, implementation, and stabilization of our Manhattan Active Warehouse, Labour and Yard Management Systems. You will be part of a diverse, collaborative and agile team that is constantly pushing what is possible with our processes, skills and systems driving the strategic delivery of our Supply Chain Systems roadmap.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end solution design and delivery for Manhattan Active WM implementations, enhancements, and site conversions.

Plan and lead technical and business cutover activities for WMS site implementations.

Partner with Distribution Centre Operations, business teams, product owners, vendors, and technology partners to understand requirements, assess fit/gap, and drive consensus on scalable solutions.

Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical designs, including process flows, use cases, configuration requirements, interface impacts, test scenarios, and operational support needs.

Configure and guide Manhattan Active WM solutions, including data elements, strategies, extended attributes, facility setup, master data, and environment configuration.

Use Manhattan and technical toolsets such as Active Go, Config Director, Pro Active, Protec, Postman & REST APIs, SQL, MIF, and SCI reporting tools.

Lead testing activities across SIT, UAT, regression, smoke testing, performance testing, and defect triage.

Maintain clear, concise documentation for functional designs, technical designs, configuration decisions, test scenarios, support models, and operational processes.

Coach and mentor team members on Manhattan Active WM design, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation best practices.

Drive adoption of new Manhattan Active capabilities and help influence the product roadmap by identifying opportunities to reduce customization and improve DC operations.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands‑on experience with Manhattan WMS.

2+ years of Manhattan Active WM experience preferred.

Deep hands‑on experience designing, configuring, testing, and supporting Manhattan WMS or Manhattan Active WM solutions.

Strong fit/gap analysis skills, with the ability to assess business requirements against standard Manhattan Active functionality and recommend practical, scalable solutions.

Experience creating detailed functional designs, process flows, use cases, test scenarios, and support documentation.

Strong technical troubleshooting skills across configuration, interfaces, data, APIs, environments, and production issues.

Experience with relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL and/or Oracle.

Strong REST API knowledge, including experience using tools such as Postman to view, extract, update, and validate system data.

Experience working with integration technologies and message flows, ideally including MIF, MHE interfaces, host systems, and master data feeds.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities and driving high‑quality delivery.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence business and technical teams.

What You’ve Done

Led or played a senior role in at least one full Manhattan WMS or Manhattan Active WM site implementation, conversion, or go‑live; multiple implementations strongly preferred.

Delivered WMS solutions from requirements through design, configuration, testing, cutover, go‑live, and hypercare.

Worked with SQL, APIs, interface messages, configuration tools, data conversion, and environment troubleshooting.

Completed an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

Experience with IBM Cognos SCI reporting.

Experience with grocery, retail, food distribution, high‑volume DCs, or complex multi‑site supply chain environments.

Knowledge of ELS Labour Management, Yard Management.
