General Matter is on a mission to restore the capability of producing nuclear fuel in America. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will build and operate software systems for uranium enrichment R&D and production. The role is vital to ensuring operational excellence, safety, and developer productivity within a high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement observability and alerting systems
• Instrument production services with metrics, logs, and traces
• Maintain developer productivity tools and CI/CD systems
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents
• Lead incident reviews to enhance reliability
Requirements:
• Strong fundamentals in web service development
• Understanding of networking concepts and HTTP
• Experience debugging production systems
• Familiarity with observability tools and incident response
• Ability to write maintainable code and automation scripts
