Production Support IBMS Ontario

This role involves providing production support for the IBM i (AS400/iSeries) billing platform and operations. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining application availability, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high performance of production solutions.

• Strong experience with IBM i (AS400/iSeries) billing platform and operations
• Proficiency in CL (Control Language) and RPG (RPGLE/ILE RPG) for troubleshooting and analysis
• Hands-on experience with batch job processing, job scheduling, and job queue management
• Able to perform data fixes, file maintenance, and system-level debugging
• Exposure to automation scripting, monitoring tools, and batch recovery strategies
• Deep understanding of manual handling, job logs, spool files, and system messages

• Experience with digital platforms such as IBM Connections

• Maintain availability of AS400 applications within defined SLA
• Troubleshoot and resolve all incidents/service requests within SLA
• Coordinate with network, application architects, developers, and others to maintain high performance end-to-end production solutions
• Provide 24x7 support for critical issues and business hours support for all others
• Initiate and implement changes to address operational gaps
• Lead Root Cause Analysis for incidents and follow through to completion
• Communicate with vendors and liaise with other IT teams
• Work with business to identify improvements
