Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a Senior SRE DHCP & DNS for our Internet Protocol Network, Ops and Automation Team.

What you’ll do:

• Develop applications, tools, and automation frameworks using Python, PHP, Bash, and SQL/MySQL to support network services and infrastructure platforms.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot DOCSIS provisioning systems, specifically Cisco Prime Cable Provisioning (PCP).
• Support and maintain GPON and DOCSIS DHCP services, specifically Cisco Prime Network Registrar (PNR).
• Administer and optimize DNS, DHCP and TFTP services, including Infoblox integration.
• Ensure compliance with Cable Labs DOCSIS and Packet Cable specifications and best practices.
• Perform advanced Linux system administration tasks in production environments.
• Write and maintain basic Bash and Python scripts to automate system processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support large-scale network deployments.
• Provide technical expertise for incident response, problem management, and capacity planning.
• Develop Method of Procedure (MOP) and Acceptance Test Plan (ATP) documents for both lab testing and production deployments.
• Execute operating system and application upgrades, tuning, and patch management in alignment with company policies and standards.
• Coordinate with external vendors to resolve issues related to services and platform performance.

What you bring:

• Strong software development and scripting skills, with hands‑on experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting production applications and automation solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including development of automation scripts, tools, APIs, data‑processing utilities, and system integrations.
• Hands‑on development experience with PHP, including backend application development, API integration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong working knowledge of MySQL, including database design, SQL queries, data manipulation, performance troubleshooting, and application integration.
• Advanced Linux system administration skills, including networking, security, package/service management, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and application deployment.
• Experience with VMware, including virtual machine deployment, configuration, maintenance, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with software development practices including Git/version control, code reviews, testing, debugging, CI/CD, and Dev Ops/Dev Net Ops  methodologies.
• Experience developing REST APIs and system integrations and working with structured data formats such as JSON and XML.
• Strong automation skills using Python and Bash; experience automating infrastructure, operational processes, provisioning, monitoring, and repetitive engineering tasks.
• Strong understanding of the TCP/IP stack and network protocols, with hands‑on experience using packet capture and protocol‑analysis tools.
• Good‑to‑have experience with Cisco Prime Cable Provisioning (PCP).
• Good‑to‑have experience with Cisco Prime Network Registrar (PNR) is an asset.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and TFTP technologies, including Infoblox solutions, is considered a strong asset but is not a mandatory requirement.
