We're looking for a Sr Cloud Network Engineer to design, build and run the network that connects our cloud platforms, offices and terminals across North America. You'll work closely with our infrastructure, SRE, security and development teams in Canada.

Please note this is a 6 months Contract opportunity for potential to convert in a permanent role..

Responsibilities:
Design, build and manage cloud networks (VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, peering) across GCP, Azure and AWS.
Set up and maintain secure connections between cloud environments, data centres and our offices and terminals, using site-to-site VPN, Cloud Interconnect, Express Route or Direct Connect.
Manage cloud load balancers, DNS, NAT and network gateways for our production services.
Configure and maintain firewalls, security groups and network policies to keep traffic secure.
Support networking for our Kubernetes platform (ingress, network policies, service-to-service traffic).
Build and manage network infrastructure as code with Terraform.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot latency and connectivity issues, and take part in an on-call rotation.
Support zero-trust and secure remote access tools such as Zscaler, Cloudflare or Palo Alto Prisma.
Document network designs and keep diagrams and runbooks up to date.
Plan for capacity, high availability and disaster recovery, and help manage cloud networking costs.

6-8 years in network engineering, including at least 2-3 years with cloud networking.
Hands-on experience with networking on at least one major cloud (GCP, Azure or AWS). More than one is a plus.
Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, routing (BGP, OSPF), DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN and load balancing.

Experience with hybrid connectivity between on-premises sites and the cloud.
Hands-on with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco or cloud-native firewalls).
Infrastructure as code with Terraform or similar.
Scripting in Python, Bash or Power Shell for automation.
Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like Wireshark, trace route and cloud flow logs.

Nice to have
Kubernetes networking (CNI, ingress controllers, service mesh)
SD-WAN experience (Cisco, Fortinet, VMware Velo Cloud or similar)
Zero-trust or SASE tools:
Zscaler, Cloudflare, Netskope or Prisma Access
Certifications such as CCNP, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty or Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)
