Location:
Georgetown, Ontario.
- Price and cost analysis, source selection, and supplier quotation assessment.
- Issue RFIs, RFQs, conduct bid analysis, down‑select suppliers, and award purchase orders for a diverse commodity mix.
- Develop and maintain virtual PO folio documentation with high business ethics.
- Negotiate supplier price, delivery, terms, and conditions.
- Drive supplier development and management activities to achieve consistent cost reductions.
- Conduct total cost of ownership analyses, including logistics, currency, payment terms, risk, and lifecycle cost.
- Monitor MRP signals, safety stock, lead times, and exception messages to maintain material flow and planning alignment.
- Identify supply risks such as shortages, sole‑source dependencies, geopolitical restrictions, and long‑lead‑time materials, and recommend mitigation actions.
- Monitor and report supplier KPIs (delivery performance, quality, responsiveness) and initiate corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, pricing, lead‑time, and supplier master data.
- Manage procurement responsibilities for new and existing products, including price, schedule, supplier selection, documentation, and terms.
- Manage critical path delivery requirements to support key program milestones.
- Purchase electronic components, assemblies, and other commodities as required.
- Provide regular status updates on material availability and shortages to meet engineering and production schedules.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with Material Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Quality Assurance.
- Execute purchasing transactions and supplier management activities within ERP/MRP systems.
- Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or equivalent.
- Minimum 4+ years of procurement and supply‑chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
- APICS and/or ASCM certification is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of electrical product commodities is desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of DOD procurement and FAR/DFARS or ITAR is a plus.
- Business acumen, time management, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Detail orientation and accuracy.
- Must be able to meet CGP requirements.
