About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a  Regular full-time Supervisor - Field Logistics Warehouse Operations  to join our dynamic  Supply Chain Operations East  team in  Brampton, Ontario.

The Supply Chain Operations East team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by filling hospital blood products requests across Eastern Canada.

Blood products include blood components processed by Canadian Blood Service and plasma protein products. In the role, you will be responsible for leading and motivating Field Logistics staff, provide clear goals while building a high-performance team.

As a  Supervisor - Field Logistics Warehouse Operations , you will lead a team responsible for ensuring the reliable movement, storage and availability of critical supplies across logistics operations. You will oversee transportation, warehousing, inventory management, shipping and receiving activities, while helping to maintain safe, efficient and compliant operations. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys leading people, solving operational challenges and building strong relationships with internal partners to deliver excellent service.

Using your leadership skills, you will guide and develop your team, creating a culture of accountability, professionalism and high-quality service that supports operational goals.
Drawing on your logistics expertise, you will coordinate transportation, warehousing, inventory clinic kitting activities to ensure supplies and services are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.
You will use data, metrics and operational insights to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement and enhance service delivery across logistics operations.
Through strong communication and relationship-building skills, you will collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders to resolve challenges, align priorities and support customer needs.
Applying your knowledge of regulatory and safety requirements, you will help ensure compliance with policies, procedures and applicable transportation, environmental and health and safety standards.
Leveraging your planning and organizational abilities, you will support workforce development, training requirements and resource allocation to maintain effective day-to-day operations.

Desired education and skills
Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution.
Minimum 3 years of related experience in field logistics areas of transportation, warehousing and inventory control.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
Proficiency using computers is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a good working knowledge of SAP or other ERP financial, purchasing and warehouse management modules are preferred.
Thorough knowledge of applicable legislations, including Dangerous Good Acts and Provincial Environmental Acts.
