In this pivotal role, you will report to the Senior Director and focus on specific categories to enhance cost efficiency. Your negotiation skills will be essential as you collaborate closely with vendors for the Discount, Market, and Wholesale divisions. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on leadership to guide the Sourcing team while achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meet with Category Directors to assess sourcing needs
• Negotiate cost structures with National Brand vendors
• Oversee vendor Request for Proposal (RFP) processes
• Provide insights on market trends for category strategy
• Guide Sourcing team members and conduct performance reviews
Requirements:
• Proven success in sourcing or merchandising roles
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Strong leadership and collaboration abilities
• Demonstrated financial competence and strategic thinking
