Facilities Technician

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company
, is looking for a hands‑on and dependable Facilities Technician to maintain multiple manufacturing sites.

The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with experience in manufacturing facilities who can handle general building maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and contractor coordination. A personal truck is strongly preferred for transporting tools, parts, and equipment between sites.

• Perform general facility repairs including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, and minor repairs

• Replace HVAC filters, light bulbs, door hardware, belts, and other components
  .
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressors, and other facility equipment
  .
• Inspect facilities and identify issues before they become major problems.
• Oversee contractors and vendors performing maintenance and repairs.
• Help maintain outdoor areas, sprinkler systems, and seasonal services such as snow removal
  .
• Assist with equipment moves, renovations, upgrades, and other facility projects.
• Transport tools, parts, and equipment between sites.
• Ensure facilities remain safe, clean, organized, and in good working order
  .

• Experience in facilities or building maintenance
  , preferably in a manufacturing environment
  .
• Hands‑on skills in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs
  .
• Knowledge of HVAC and facility equipment is an asset.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a self‑starter mentality
  .
• Ability to work independently and handle a variety of maintenance tasks.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required; personal truck strongly preferred.
• Ability to work at heights and perform physical maintenance duties.
• GMP or food manufacturing experience is an asset.
