Description:

Color Specialist

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Color Specialist to join our team in North York, ON. This is a full‑time, on‑site position designed for a technical expert who thrives in a fast‑paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for high‑precision color matching for both solid pigments and stains. You will act as a key technical partner for our high‑demand clients, ensuring their aesthetic requirements are met with speed and accuracy.

Beyond the lab, this is a dynamic position involving warehouse and raw material logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform expert‑level color matching for a variety of industrial solid and stain finishes.
  • Consult with clients to troubleshoot and satisfy custom color requirements.
  • Manage raw material inventory and assist with logistical warehouse tasks.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy to meet rigorous production deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise:
    Proven proficiency in pigment identification and manual color matching.
  • Industry

    Experience:

    Previous experience in a professional paint or coatings environment (e.g., Benjamin Moore, Sherwin‑Williams, or industrial suppliers).
  • Product Knowledge:
    Familiarity with Polyurethane and Acid Cure varnishes is considered a significant asset.
  • Detail‑Oriented: A keen eye for color theory and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Background:
    Experience with in the furniture, kitchen, or bath hardware industries is highly preferred.
  • Mobility: A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is an asset (travel reimbursement is provided for client site visits).
