Job Title: CNC Machinist (Lathe/Mill Operator)

Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will operate HAAS Lathe or Mill machines to produce precision components according to specifications. You will be responsible for safely using hand and power tools during machining and assembly tasks. You will interpret and work from blueprints, charts, tables, and technical drawings to fabricate fittings, jigs, and fixtures, supporting production and assembly processes. Additionally, you will assemble mechanical parts and components with accuracy and consistency, calculate dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements using applied mathematics, and measure components using precision instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate HAAS Lathe or Mill machines to produce precision components according to specifications.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during machining and assembly tasks.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, charts, tables, and technical drawings.
• Fabricate fittings, jigs, and fixtures to support production and assembly processes.
• Assemble mechanical parts and components with accuracy and consistency.
• Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements using applied mathematics.
• Measure components using precision instruments such as micrometers.
• Machine parts using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other shop equipment.
• Inspect, measure, and verify completed parts on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with tolerance and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to maintain adherence to production and inspection requirements.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of CNC (HAAS) lathe or mill experience.
• Understanding of Fanuc controls.
• 2+ years of experience in a custom job/machine shop.
• 2+ years of Mastercam programming experience.
• Technical schooling in machining or equivalent.
• Proficiency in using micrometers to calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, charts, and tables.
• Capability to lift 50 lbs or more.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
