Material Handler, Industrial Maintenance
As a Material Handler at Mold-Masters in Georgetown, Ontario, you will play a critical role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations while ensuring inventory accuracy and integrity. WorkYou’ll Do
- Pick, package, and transfer inventory requests promptly and accurately to support daily manufacturing needs.
- Issue tools and supplies to plant employees, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.
- Manage tooling requirements within vending machines and storage systems to ensure availability.
- Conduct regular inventory counts, including daily cycle counts, and report discrepancies for prompt resolution.
- Utilize SAP and other inventory management software to update stock levels, process issues, and receive shipments.
- Assemble tool and hydraulic kits in support of production and customer demands, including work for the Hot Half and Assembly departments.
- Follow ISO quality standards to maintain stockroom organization and safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot inventory or material issues to maintain production flow and minimize delays.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to boost productivity, safety, and quality.
- Perform additional stockroom and production-related duties as assigned, always prioritizing safety and efficiency.
- You will be an integral part of our warehouse team at Mold-Masters, supporting our manufacturing operations through effective inventory management and material handling. Reporting to the Stockroom Supervisor, you will collaborate with production personnel, warehouse staff, and inventory specialists to ensure seamless material flow that supports our production excellence. Your role is vital for maintaining the company's operational success in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- At least three (3) months of experience or training in a stockroom or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with computer software; familiarity with SAP and E1/ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, pick lists, purchase orders, and operating/maintenance instructions.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with inventory management tools such as min/max systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, especially related to parts, tools, and materials.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively across departments.
